Tip of the Week – Buy Pumpkins Locally

By | October 20, 2008

Buying your pumpkins locally will support your local pumpkin patch or farmers market. Doing this means your pumpkin travels less distance, using less gas, and in turn produces less carbon dioxide emissions. Plus, buying direct cuts out the middleman, increasing profits for local farms.

Not only will buying locally help the farmers, it is a lot more fun to go to the local pumpkin patch with your kids and let them enjoy the outdoors and let them see how things are grown. I know my son had a great time.
