Tip of the Week - Turn Down the Thermostat

ThermostatWant to save 5 to 10 percent on your heating bill?
Yeah, who doesn’t!

Turn down your thermostat 5 to 10 degrees before you go to bed at night, and then turn it up again in the morning when the coffee is brewing. By doing this you’ll save 5 to 10 percent of your heating bill each month.

Good tip. I’ve been doing something similar the last couple years. I have a timer on my thermostat and have it programmed to go lower when I’m at work and get toasty again when I get home. I also manually turn it down if I plan to be a way for a good portion of the night. Saves a nice chunk of change I’d say.
