Worse idea ever. Unless the shaded spot is the closest spot you would use more gas driving around looking for a shaded spot than you would lose in having to run the AC less. Also unless your fuel system has a leak you lose no fuel due to evaporation. Where does it evaporate too? Does a can of soda evaporate when you leave it in the sun and it hasn't been opened? Plus if you are getting in your car and driving around for a short amount of time in Texas the AC never leaves MAX no matter where you parked. Good try though.

The small things such as using AC less in your car and parking car in the shade will make a big difference on our environment. By applying these minor adjustments, less CO2 will be emitted into the atmosphere and less air pollution from the harmful gas. This is a great post!
